Pacha Cheera Thoran - Ingredients:

Cheera(Spinach) leaves  5 cups
Coconut grated    
Green chillies 3 nos
Turmeric powder  tsp
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam)   tsp
Coconut oil   3 tbsp
Garlic pods  4 nos
Dry red chillies 2 nos
Plain rice  2 tsp
Mustard seeds   1 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry leaves  A few



Pacha Cheera Thoran - Directions:
  1. Clean the leaves well and chop it finely.

  2. Grind together coconut, turmeric powder, green chillies, cumin seeds, garlic and curry leaves into a coarse form.

  3. Mix together the chopped cheera along with the coconut mixture and salt.

  4. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.

  5. Splutter mustard seeds and saut dry red chillies, rice and curry leaves.

  6. Add the cheera-coconut mixture and mix well.

  7. Cover and cook on a low flame for about 1 2 mins.

  8. Remove the lid and continue cooking till done on a low flame itself.
