Channa Vada - Ingredients:

Channa Dal (Bengal Gram) 3 cups 
medium Onions, finely chopped 2
Green chilies, finely chopped 3-4
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
Channa Vada - Directions:
  1. Wash and Soak dal in water for about 2 hours.

  2. By adding enough water grind Dal to a coarse paste.

  3. Add chopped onions and green chilies to the grinded dal.

  4. Add salt to the mixture and mix well.

  5. Heat the Oil.

  6. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a ball and flatten each ball on your palm.

  7. Now deep fry the vadas in the hot oil, till golden brown in color.

  8. Remove and drain onto a paper towel .

  9. serve hot with green chutney .
