Moong dal 1 1/2 cup
oil 2 tbsp
big onion 1
coriander powder 1 tsp
chilli powder 1 tsp
jeera 1/2 tsp
turmeric 1/2 tsp
tomato 2
tamarind size of lemon
salt to taste
coriander leaves a few
Cherupayar Curry - Directions:
Cook moong dal till it becomes tender.
chop onion and tomato finely
heat oil in a kadai and saute onion. .
To this add a little water ,turmeric,coriander powder,chilli powder and jeera.saute till water is done.
Then add tomato when it start leaving from side add tamarind and saute for 2 minutes.
After this add the cooked moong dal and cook for 3 minutes.
