Chick peas Curry - Ingredients:

mustard seeds 1/2 tsp.
oil 2 Tbsp.
onion (chopped) (medium size) 1
hot green chilies, chopped 2
cloves garlic (crushed) 2
coriander powder 1 tsp.
cumin seeds (powdered) 1 tsp.
salt to taste
tomatoes 2
chick peas 1 lb.
ginger 1/2 inch
turmeric 1/4 tsp.
medium sized potatoes 2
cinnamon powder 3/4 tsp.
cloves (powder) 1/2 tsp.
fresh coriander leaves 3 Tbsp.
Chick peas Curry - Directions:
  1. Saute mustard seeds in oil. When they crack, add chopped onion.

  2. When onion turns into golden brown, add green chilies, garlic, ginger and turmeric powder. Stir.

  3. Add potatoes cut in small cubes, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt. If using

  4. tomato paste, add that too and a cup of water.

  5. Stir, cover and let it cook for 5 minutes until potatoes are half done. Add chick peas and more water and salt if needed. When potatoes are well cooked, add cut tomatoes (if paste isnt used) and cinnamon powder and cloves In a couple of minutes, garnish with coriander leaves and remove from heat.
