Malvani Fish Curry - Ingredients:

boneless fish 500 gms 
medium-sized onions 2
grated coconut  cup 
cumin seeds 1 tsp 
coriander seeds 2 tsp  
dried red chillies 4-5 
turmeric powder A pinch 
Salt to taste 
peppercorns 6-8 
medium-sized tomato One 
oil 3 tbsp
Tamarind pulp 1 tbsp
Malvani Fish Curry - Directions:
  1. Lightly roast cumin seeds and coriander seeds. Grind them into a powder

  2. with dried red chillies and turmeric.

  3. Cut boneless fish into one inch sized cubes. Apply salt. Apply ground chilli,

  4. turmeric, coriander and cumin masala.

  5. Peel onions and chop one onion and grind the other onion with grated

  6. coconut, peppercorn into a coarse paste. Finely chop tomato and keep aside.

  7. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions. Saut till onions turn pink. Add

  8. chopped tomatoes and cook till oil leaves the sides.

  9. Mix in ground coconut masala paste and cook on a high flame for a minute.

  10. Add two cups of water and bring it to a boil. Add fish pieces and cook on

  11. medium flame for five to six minutes. Stir in tamarind dissolved in quarter

  12. cup of water. Simmer for five minutes.

  13. Serve hot with steamed rice.
