Drumstick 4-5
Buttom onion 7 nos
Coconut grated 1/2 cup
Redchilli powder 2 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Cumin 1/2 tsp
Garlic 2 pods
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves a few
Oil 2 tsp
water as required
Salt to taste.
Muringakka(Drumstick) Thoren - Directions:
Clean and cut Drumsticks lenghtwise and then cut horizonatal to 2 inch pieces.
Chopp the onions finely
Cook it with water ,salt and chopped onion.
Grind coconut with red chilli powder,turmeric,garlic,Cumin and salt.Keep it aside.
When the Drumstick(muringakka) is cooked (If water is retained in the vessel which is there after cooking the vegetable it tastes good)mix the grinded cocnut to it.
Cook it for 5 mins.
Season with mustard and curry leaves.
Serve hot with rice.
