Onion Chicken Fry - Ingredients:

Chicken, cut into pieces 1kg.
Chilli powder 1 tsp.
Pepper powder  tsp.
Coriander powder  tsp.
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp.
cloves  12
cinnamon  one inch pieces 
cumin seeds
ani seeds  1 pinch
chopped onions 1 cup
Thinly sliced onion 1 tsp.
Thinly sliced ginger 1 tsp.
Sliced garlic 1 tsp.
oil 8 tsp.
finely chopped ripe tomatoes  cup
Salt to taste.
Onion Chicken Fry - Directions:
  1. Grind chilli,pepper,cinnamon,coriander,turmeric,cloves,cumin,aniseed to fine paste

  2. Heat oil and saute onion, ginger, garlic and ground masala well.

  3. Let the masala fry on a low fire, adding 2 tsp.

  4. Before the oil separates stir and salt to taste.

  5. Stir well.

  6. Pour in a cup of boiling water. Close the pan with a deep lid containing water.

  7. In case the gravy is all absorbed before the chicken is cooked, pour in water from the lid.

  8. Add the gravy to chicken.

  9. Serve with rice or chapathi.
