Pomfrets (Mathi) Curry in Banana leaf - Ingredients:
Large Pomfrets 3
Tender cocnut 1 1/2
Coriander leaves a few
Garlic 8 pods
Sugar 3 tsp
Green chili 10
Jeera 2 tsp
Lime 2
Salt to taste
Banana leaves
Ghee 3 tbsp
Pomfrets (Mathi) Curry in Banana leaf - Directions:
Grind all masala except lime to fine paste.
Squeeze lime juice to it.
Clean fish and cut to large pieces.
Apply salt and keep aside for 15 minutes
Cut banana leaves to large pieces.
Brush with ghee.
Cover each fish with green masala paste about 1/2 inch thick.
Wrap the each fish piece in banana leaves and bind securely with strings.
Steam cook.
Serve without removing the leaf wrapping.
