Raw Plantain sliced to cubes 1/4 kg
Desicated Coconut 1 cup
Green Chillies sliced lengthwise 2
Garlic flakes 2
Curry Leaves a few
Dry Red Chillies 2 nos
Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
Black gram 1 tsp
Coconut Oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
Raw Plantain Thoran - Directions:
Cook the raw plantain in water adding salt, turmeric powder and water.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and black gram and allow them to splutter.
Add curry leaves and dry red chillies and fry them for a minute.
Add the cooked plantain to this.
Crush the desicated coconut, garlic and green chillies.
Add the coconut mix to the raw plantain and mix them well until all the water is gone.
