Rice and Coconut Payasam - Ingredients:

Rice 1 cup
Grated Coconut 1 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/4 cup
Milk 2 cups
Cashews 1/4 cup
Raisins 2 tsp
Cardamom 2
Rice and Coconut Payasam - Directions:
  1. Soak rice for 15 minutes in little water.

  2. Grind this with grated coconut and boil this till rice gets cooked.

  3. Add jaggery, sugar, and milk to this and cook till jaggery melts.

  4. Fry cashews and raisins in little ghee and add this to the boiling payasam.

  5. Pound cardamoms, and add this to the payasam.

  6. Serve hot or chilled as required.
