Ripe Mango Sambar - Ingredients:

Ripe mangoes  6 
tamarind   lime sized
thur dal   1 cup
sambar powder   1 tsp
salt to taste
turmeric powder  a pinch
asafoetida powder  1/4 tsp
fenugreek powder  1/4 tsp
mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
oil  2 tsp
green chilli  1
Ripe Mango Sambar - Directions:
  1. Cook dal in pressure cooker and mash it and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When it bursts, add fenugreek powder,asafoetida, turmric powder.

  3. Add the green chillie.

  4. Add the mangoes. Sprinkle 2 tsp water and cook covered in low heat.

  5. Boilmangoes well until they become very soft.

  6. Add salt, sambar powder, tamarind juice and heat .

  7. Now add the cooked thur dal to the sambar and cook for 5 min.

  8. Garnish with curry leaves.
