Rice 1 cup
moongdal 1 cup
gram dal 1/4 cup
cashewnuts 15
raisins 10
cardomom powder 1/2 tsp
ghee 1/2 cup
grated coconut 4 tsp
jaggery 1 1/2 cup
water 6 cups
Sakkarai Pongal - Directions:
Dry roast rice,moong dal, and gram Dal lightly.
Add water and steam in pressure cooker.
Take jaggery and dissolve in little water so that it just completely dissolves and heat it separately.
Add the liquid part of this juice to cooked mixture.
Roast cashew nuts, raisins, grated coconut ,cardamom powder in ghee and add this to the mixture and stir well
Add 1/2 cup ghee (optional) after removing from stove.
