Theeyal - Ingredients:

Snake Gourd chopped 1/2 cup
Onion 5
Tomato 2
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 4 tsp
Salt to taste
Grated cocnut 1/2
Tamarind size of gooseberry
Oil 2 tsp
Curry leaves a few
Mustard
Theeyal - Directions:
  1. Heat oil in a vessel and season mustard and curry leaves in oil.

  2. Saute chopped onion with turmeric and salt.

  3. Add snakegaourd chopped and fry for a while.

  4. Add chopped tomato

  5. Once fried add tamarind.

  6. Fry Coconut with the powder masalas and grind to fine paste.

  7. Add this to sauted vegetables and heat for 2 minutes.

  8. Serve hot with rice.
