Yam Curry - Ingredients:

Yam   1/2 kg
Oil   3 tsp
Mustard seeds   1/2 tsp
Urad dal  1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder  1/4 tsp,
Turmeric powder a pinch
Salt to taste
Yam Curry - Directions:
  1. Cut yam into small cubical pieces. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add urad dal.

  2. When it is roasted, add the yam pieces.

  3. Add 1/4 cup of water, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.

  4. Leave it covered in medium heat for about 10 minutes.

  5. Then stir once and remove from fire.

  6. Serve with rice.
